Hey, I'm Kerri
I’m a single mom to five incredible kids, and we’re a proud homeschooling family. My two oldest have recently flown the nest—my daughter is a Combat Medic in the Army and an EMT with a local fire department, and my son is newly married and learning the construction trade (so yes, I count my daughter-in-law as kiddo #6 now!). The younger three, ages 18, 13, and 12, are still at home with me—at least for now. My oldest at home just graduated and is working at a marina while exploring his future path.
Alongside being a full-time mom, I’m the owner of Simply Kerri (Simply Said VA), where I support women entrepreneurs through virtual assistant services. What started as a blog and a few influencer gigs turned into a full-blown business after I recognized the growing needs of content creators. I drew on my background in office management and bookkeeping to create a service-based business that helps other women manage and grow their social media, content, and daily operations. It’s a joy to serve others in this way—and the flexibility lets me continue homeschooling and working from home.
I’m also passionate about blogging—sharing honest stories of life’s ups and downs, healing through trauma, my faith journey, and what it’s really like being a single, homeschooling mom (dating adventures included!). My hope is always to offer encouragement and remind others of the hope we have in Christ.
And because I’m a total book lover, I recently stepped into the Bookstagram world! I share my favorite reads, review ARCs, and would love to eventually support fellow authors with my VA skills. You can follow my bookish adventures over on Instagram @SimplyKerriReads.
A little more about me
I was born and raised in New England—and I still call it home today! I grew up just steps from the ocean, spending summer days at the beach or out on the water with my family. I truly can’t imagine living anywhere else or being far from the coast.
A few of my favorite things? Books and reading, strong coffee, Italian food, ice cream, board games, and nothing beats New England in the fall.
Thanks so much for stopping by—I’d love to connect with you!
