Homeschool Life

Once upon a time, all children were homeschooled. They were not sent away from home each day to a place just for children but lived, learned, worked, and played in the real world alongside adults and other children of all ages.

📚📓✏️🍎 So you’re ready to begin your Homeschool adventure! Yay! 🙌🏻👏🏻

👩🏼‍🏫 With so many parents on the fence about homeschooling these days, I’ve really had it on my heart to help put other mommas that are on the fence, at ease in heart and mind. I’ve had so many questions about it so I thought I’d share more about the things I use and all of my tips and tricks.

❤️ Side note to the Momma’s. God hand picked you and created you to know what’s best for your babies. Listen to your gut. Pray about it, research and just go with it. If something doesn’t work, change it and try again. Nothing about homeschooling is perfect. There is no such thing as a perfect curriculum. Perfect anything. BUT this is what’s so beautiful about homeschooling, you decide. Your child decides. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune. It doesn’t have to be the best of the best! There are so so SOOO many AMAZING resources out there to make this happen. Do not let fear be the reason you don’t homeschool.

👸🏼 WE are the gatekeepers of our homes. God has equipped us to teach our children. So often we as moms that make the decision to homeschool, get caught up in the legalities of homeschooling, and academics, and all the things, that we miss the fact that we are already teaching our kids! We just don’t know it! When we cook and bake with them. When we bring them to the store and teach them about prices and money. When we make them responsible for chores and teach them how to do their own laundry, They.ARE.Learning. Do not underestimate the beautiful abilities that God has already gifted you with. He knows your children too and what they need.

🏃🏼‍♀️ So now that I’ve said all that, go check out my Instagram, @simplykerri13, and look for the highlight, “homeschool”. Ive posted some cheap, fun, easy homeschool tips and tricks. I’ve also included some links with some great informational resources, my favorites curriculums, and unit studies.

Don’t forget to check out your local Target dollar shop, Dollar store, office supply store, Five Below and other similar places for super cheap homeschool tools and resources. Another great site is Pinterest! Follow me there @simplykerri . Some links are dead but there is still so much I find on Pinterest either free or at least lead you to great finds to help supplement your curriculums. There’s so much out there once you start looking 😊
